Lightweight Sweaters

Mar 5, 2018

March is a really hectic month.  So many of my friends and family members celebrate birthdays and every weekend seems to be filled with special events and occasions.  March has always been my favorite month, not only because it’s my birthday, but because it marks the commencement of Spring.  Spring symbolizes warmer days ahead sans heavy jackets, snow boots, and cold weather accessories!  I am ready to emerge from hibernation and enjoy the outdoors again!

Picture this: the sun shining, the birds chirping, and temperatures consistently in the 70’s everyday.  Ideal, right?  Unfortunately, Spring seems to be a novelty here in New Jersey.  I am not sure if it even qualifies as a season anymore!  One minute you are frigid and frost bitten, and the next you are relying on air conditioners and pools for relief.  I truly hope this year, we get some time to relish in one of my favorite seasons.

In the meantime, we must be fashionably prepared!  Another go-to-style for Spring is lightweight sweaters in neutrals and pastels.  They are perfect for those moderate days and are super easy to style.  They look great with leggings, jeans, and shorts.  I have my eye on so many this season.  Most recently, I found these two simple and very basic sweaters at an amazing price point.  Both are great quality and have an oversized appeal to them.  You know I love an article of clothing that can easily be accessorized.  A fun colored shoe, bright earring, or statement necklace can dress these up too.

I opted for a minimal look this time around.  I paired them with a heel, but realistically, a flat, sandal, or wedge will be more practical for everyday.  I tend to size up in my sweaters because I like that oversized look and the option of tucking them in to my pants.  It really is, however, all about personal preference and appeal.

“Grey skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face!”  It’s time for a closet purge.  Make way for Spring fashion!
