We had such a great day visiting Muhlenberg College over the weekend. For those of you who don’t know, this is where Jim and I met and began our love story. It was nice to stroll down memory lane with the girls in tow and explore the renovated campus. It looks more pristine than ever. I was always drawn to the beauty of this campus, and after seeing it this weekend, I couldn’t be more proud to call this my alma mater.

It was homecoming weekend, so the campus was packed with fellow alumni and overjoyed mules. The glee club was performing, the football players were on the field, and the sun was shining. I couldn’t help but reflect back on those easier, carefree days. For a moment, I wished I was getting ready in my dorm room for a night of partying at the Main Gate, followed by a midnight snack of “Bagel Bombs,” concluding with a sleep marathon on lazy Sundays. Instead, however, I was walking down academic row hand in hand with my daughters. Life has certainly changed since my college days. As amazing and simplistic as those years were, there certainly is nowhere else I would rather be.

Thank you Muhlenberg for the memories, but most importantly, for introducing me to my husband. Thanks to you, I am blessed with the most wonderful family a girl could ever dream of. Here’s to more visits, strolls down the campus, and walks through the red doors that I once called home!
“College is the best time of your life. When else are your parents going to spend several thousand dollars a year just for you to go to a strange town and get drunk every night!”– David Wood
