While sweaters and boots are among my favorites, I am growing very bored with them. This always seems to happen to me in February. I become impatient and my wardrobe becomes very temperamental! I am tired of everything in my closet and the cold weather makes me even more fashionably irritable! When these emotions set in, I tend to shift gears and focus on Spring. Despite the temperatures, I start strategically planning my Spring wardrobe.
One of the first articles of clothing to make the list is usually a floral kimono. They are lightweight, airy, and exude Spring. I also appreciate their versatility. They look great with jeans, over a dress, and can easily transition into Summer paired with shorts. Throw a tee or a camisole underneath and you are the vision of all things warm and bright.
Shocker: I found this one at Target. No this is not legally my permanent residence (yet), but my daily visits certainly have you guessing, right?! The cashiers and dressing room employees know me by name. Maybe I need an intervention, but I just can’t comply. Too much goodness!
I was drawn to this particular kimono because I liked the uniqueness of the sleeves and the neutral hues. I knew it would look great with jeans too. It paired nicely with my lighter wash, distressed denim and a heel, but looked just as fabulous with my new flats. These are the Free People dupes for more than half the price my friends! Yet another reason why I love Target so much.
As you start to purge your wardrobe, consider replacing your outdated items with some floral kimonos. They will liven up your wardrobe and your mood:)
