Design History Girls

Sep 11, 2018

As much as I love styling adults, kids are my absolute favorite.  There are so many fun prints and accessories to choose from. Tying everything together to make jovial and eclectic looks is so rewarding! As you know, Mia’s love for fashion runs deep.  She enjoys modeling and wearing the latest trends.  She is begging me to start her own blog!  I admire her drive and passion at 7 years old, so I made a conscious decision to start including her on a more permanent basis.  We have so much fun collaborating together and it truly is a bonding experience.  While fashion is a huge part of my life, nothing defines me more than being a mother.  I am most confident and self-assured with my girls by my side, so this transition makes perfect sense!

Mia was ecstatic to receive her first invitation and introduction into the fashion world this summer with Design History Girls.  They recently launched their back to school line and Mia would get a chance to see all the amazing pieces before they hit stores.  Excited was surely an understatement!  Design History Girls was kind enough to send both my girls an outfit to wear to the event.  Mia and I got to work and styled it for the big day.  Go big or go home, right?!  We were ready to take on the city and meet the amazing Design History team.  Mia was also excited for the pizza!

I can not say enough amazing things about the ladies who work for Design History Girls.  They went above and beyond to make all the young fashionistas and their mommies feel special!  Activities, food, decorations, and lots of clothes were on hand at this spectacular event.  Mia was in her glory.  The icing on the cake: trying on all the graciously gifted clothes from the team.

If you have never shopped this line, you need to!  Launched in 2010, the collection includes need-it-now sweaters and tops, eye catching jackets, whimsical leggings, and girly dresses.  “Wearing Design History Girls, these mini fashionistas are at the forefront of fashion, dressed head-to-toe in the season’s must-haves of sparkles, hearts, and faux-furs.”

Thank you Design History Girls for an unforgettable experience.  Mia left with a smile on her face and a fabulous new wardrobe for back-to school!  I left hand and hand with my new partner.  It’s officially a family affair!
