This weekend we frequented Candytopia in New York City. Candytopia truly is indicative of its name. It’s a sprawling sanctuary of sugary bliss curated by Hollywood candy queen Jackie Sorkin. This art installation celebrates the vibrant colors and flavors of some of our favorite universal candies. Flying unicorns, pigs, sea creatures, and more, adorn each room, all entirely made of delectable candy pieces! Heaven on earth for children of all ages (and some adults)!
An avid City goer, there was no way I was missing out on this limited engagement. My friend Jen and I booked tickets weeks ago and couldn’t wait to surprise the girls.
Despite the hefty price, Candytopia lived up to the hype. The kids were in awe. They couldn’t wait to snag their free candy and explore the colorful world before them. They particularly loved smelling and feeling each candy creation. The anticipation, excitement, and jovial wonder in their eyes was magical. There’s nothing better than witnessing innocent and impressionable children genuinely content and enthusiastic! I yearned to be a kid again myself!
The highlight of the day was the marshmallow inspired pool that every giddy child anxiously dove into. My germophobe tendencies almost got the best of me, but their happy faces were a reminder that hand sanitizer was only an inch away!
After satisfying our sweet tooth, we headed to Planet Hollywood for lunch. I haven’t made a trip back since my dad took my friends and I as a kid. It was a special moment recreating these memories with my own girls. After our bellies were full, we continued our urban adventures and explored NYC. It was such a great day.

“If you ever dreamed of nibbling your way through Candyland or scoring a Golden Ticket, make a trip to Candytopia and let your imagination and taste buds soar!”
