As I continue to organize my closet, it’s become abundantly clear, that skinny jeans dominate my denim collection. While I will always remain loyal and true to this coveted style, my denim rut is deep. Feeling bored, I have been looking to broaden my horizons. Enter: The Boyfriend Jean.
In the midst of a Fall wardrobe replenishment, it’s the opportune time to incorporate some new and trending pieces. I picked up two pairs of boyfriend style pants from LOFT. The first thing that comes to mind is comfort. When it comes to being comfortable, no jean has your back quite like the boyfriend jean! Loose, cuffed, and slightly distressed, this look works whether you want to remain ultra-laid back or dressed up.
When I styled both pairs, I opted for a heel. I can’t reiterate enough how much I hate being short! I always try to overcompensate by wearing a heel to elongate and allude a taller frame. If you no longer ride the heel train, however, don’t dismiss the boyfriend jeans. They look equally great with a loafer for a chic and casual look.
I was drawn to the olive green pair first. It exudes Fall, and will pair nicely with my neutral tops and sweaters. Picture a beautiful Fall crisp day, Pumpkin Spice Latte in hand, and these pants. There’s nothing finer than a Fall fashion motif!
Next, I found these lighter wash and very relaxed distressed denim. I currently have so many darker washes in my closet, so I was excited to add these to my collection. My mint green sweater compliments them nicely. These too will look fabulous with all my neutral tops.
If you are looking to swap out your skinnies and try something new, give the boyfriend jean a chance. Denim that is trendy, yet still relaxed and cozy, sign me up!
