Happy New Year

Jan 1, 2020

2019 came and went.  Lots of highs and lows, but we made it through.  My favorite 2019 memories were my daughters' accomplishments in the arts.  Gianna was blessed to have starred as two very iconic roles, Matilda and Annie, shot a national commercial in Nashville, and was accepted into The Paper Mill Conservatory.  Her drive, professionalism, and dedication is inspiring.  Mia came into her own this year and found her "thing".  She is a member of the hip hop company at her dance studio and is thriving.  I love watching her dance.  She is a little ball of fire and sass.As 2020 is upon us, I continue to navigate my own aspirations and goals for the new year.  I hope to continue my styling business and maybe venture into some other avenues as well.  Watching my fearless daughters, ...

40 Weeks Down

Dec 14, 2019

Well, today I am smiling big!  I went for my 40 week Invisalign check-up to get evaluated and take new impressions for my next batch of aligners.  The office is so pleased with my progress and can't believe how quickly my teeth have transformed.  So much so, they strongly feel my Invisalign journey will be over much sooner than expected.  Elated is an understatement! If you remember, the first 2 weeks were touch and go.  I almost quit.  Thankfully, I sucked up the discomfort and gave these things a chance.  Not only have they given me back my ...

My mom always instilled the importance of accessories and their impact on your wardrobe.  Thus, I have never been a minimalist when it comes to jewelry.  Imagine drawing a picture and not coloring it in.  Without accessories, our outfits are lifeless. I have never been one to splurge on designer pieces though. Good old costume jewelry does the trick! As a blogger, I have had many opportunities to work with different and unique brands.  I love how social media is the gateway for new opportunities.  I also love how it ...

Invisalign- Week 31

Oct 2, 2019

We made it through the first month of school (barely)!  Gianna is adjusting well to middle school and absolutely loves going everyday.  She even sets an alarm and willingly wakes up at 6:30 a.m. each morning.  Who is this girl and what did she do with my daughter?  A vast change and improvement from last year.  Mia, however, has already declared that school is too long and boring.   She would rather stay home all day and resume her YouTube studies! As much as I miss the summer, the routine has been helpful for my business.  I have been keeping ...

Farewell Summer 2019

Sep 4, 2019

I think this was the fastest summer to date.  I blinked and here we are again.  Alarm clocks set, backpacks packed, and lunches prepared.  3rd and 6th grade here we come.  This year, in particular, I am uneasy.  Middle School is going to be a huge adjustment.  Emotionally, physically, and academically.  I am not prepared for the drama that is about to ensue.  I am scared.  I fear that my relationship with Gianna will be different now that she is a tween and gaining more independence.  I want my ...
